What is Rebell Pay?

Rebell Pay is a mobile application for online payments and financial management. It allows you to open an account in any available currency to hold funds safely and use a virtual account card to send and receive money easily or pay in-store. You can also add any of your existing Mastercard or Visa cards from one of the supported countries to make instant transfers to the recipient's payment card or phone number. For all transactions, the funds flow directly from the sender's card to the account associated with the recipient's card. With just a few clicks, you can make fast and secure transfers locally and across borders.

What does card to card money transfer mean?

Transferring money from card to card allows you to complete the transaction faster than in the case of a traditional transfer. Thanks to Rebell Pay, the funds reach the recipient even in a few minutes. It is enough to provide only the recipient's name and payment card number, instead of entering long bank account numbers or many other data required for a traditional transfer. If you do not know the recipient's card number, just enter his phone number - he will receive a secure payment link, allowing him to enter the card number to which he would like to have the funds transferred. Rebell Pay is simple, fast and secure.

Who can use Rebell Pay?

Rebell Pay is an app for everyone who seeks to easily manage their finances, save money, and time when sending and receiving funds from friends and loved ones. To benefit from our fast payments, you can be a current Mastercard or Visa cardholder (excluding prepaid and business cards), or you can simply open an account within the app in any available currency and use a virtual account card. We are consistently working on increasing the global reach and offer so that convenient and fast payments are the right of everyone, at any time and from anywhere in the world.

Currently, Rebell Pay is available in 29 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland , Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom.

What benefits can I count on as a Rebell Pay user?

Rebell Pay is a one-stop platform to manage all your online payments that allows you to hold and manage funds, pay in-store with a Rebell Pay virtual account card, and make multi-currency instant money transfers locally and across borders. The simplified transaction handling is based on the sender's and recipient's payment card numbers. This allows for faster transfer of funds than in the case of traditional transfers - without transition accounts, without keeping the money that has been sent. Simple and intuitive to use, the application makes sending and receiving money easy and secure with just a few clicks.

Who can I send money to?

The transfer of funds, carried out via Rebell Pay, will reach every Mastercard or Visa* cardholder, excluding prepaid and business cards. The money send by the sender will go directly to the bank account associated with the recipient's card. It is worth noting that the recipient of the transfer does not have to be a Rebell Pay user to accept the payment.

Receiving funds to a Visa card is available for the following countries

What is the cost of the transaction in the Rebell Pay app?

Rebell Pay is a free application that can be downloaded from Google Play and the Apple Store. Currently with free transfers up to a total of € 250 for the last 30 days. Your recipient will always get exactly the amount you sent them. In case if you exceed the free transfer limit, the transaction fee will vary depending on the amount, currency, and country of the sender and recipient. You will know the exact amount of the fee along with the exchange rate (if applicable) before finalizing the transaction.

How long does it take for a money transfer to go through?

Most transactions are completed in less than 30 minutes, with the exception of transfers sent to the recipient's phone number, where the finalization time depends on the time in which the funds are accepted by the recipient. You can see the estimated transfer date on the Transaction Send screen before confirmation.

What is an electronic ID verification?

eIDV (Electronic Identity Verification) is the use of public and private databases to quickly confirm whether an individual is who they claim to be. The eIDV uses personal information such as name, date of birth and address details.

I’ve registered when can I make a transfer?

You can make a transfer immediately after registering with Rebell Pay and adding at least one verified physical payment card, or after opening and funding your Rebell Pay account with a multi-functional virtual Mastercard.

What currencies do you support?

With Rebell Pay you can trasnfer freely with one of 22 currencies from and to EUR, PLN or USD:

AED, AMD, AUD, AZN, BGN, CHF, CZK, EUR, GBP, GEL, HUF, ILS, JOD, MAD, MDL, NOK, PLN, RON, SEK, TRY, UAH, USD.

If the currency combination to/from which you wanted to make a payment is missing, try sending your international transfer in EUR. Suppose you want to make a transfer between GBP to UAH. In this case, try sending GBP to EUR, providing the UAH card. Your transaction will be accepted for processing and the currency exchange will be automatically conducted by the receiving bank according to their rates.

How can I contact Rebell Pay?

If you have any questions or doubts, we encourage you to contact the Rebell Pay Customer Service. Our consultants will help you in English, Polish, Ukrainian and Russian. You can contact them directly through the application by going to the "Help" panel or using the contact form on our website.

App profile and registration

What do I need to set up a Rebell Pay profile?

To set up a Rebell Pay profile, all you need to do is download the application on a smartphone with Android or iOS. The registration process is simple and intuitive. After verifying your phone number, you will be able to set your own passcode, just like in banking applications, which you will use to log in. To finalize the registration process, you will need your personal data and address, such as: name, surname, date of birth, email and residential address. To ensure the highest level of security, all users are subject to identity verification, so remember to enter your full name and surname in the user profile, just as it appears on your ID document.

Can I have more than one profile?

One User can have only one Rebell Pay app profile.

What information is required to register?

In order to register and open a profile in the Rebell Pay app, it is necessary to provide a phone number, full name, date of birth, current address and e-mail. For security reasons, all users are subject to identity verification, so during registration you will be asked to send a photo of your ID and a selfie.

My application is not working properly, what should I do?

One of the reasons your app isn't working properly is because it needs and update. First, check in Google Play or Apple Store if you have all the updates installed. If you have the latest version of Rebell Pay and the application is still not working properly, try restarting your phone. If you continue to encounter the problem after these steps, please send our Customer Service a screenshot of the issue with all the details and attached error messages. We will then do our best to support you as soon as possible.

How can I change my profile details?

Data update is possible only by contacting our Customer Service Department.

What to do if I make a mistake entering my name, surname or other data during registration?

If you have entered your name, surname, email address, date of birth and/or residential address incorrectly during registration, or if you wish to update them, please contact our Customer Service Department. We will make the necessary changes immediately.

How can I change my passcode?

To change the passcode, go to "Settings" and select the "Security" tab. From the available options, select "Change Passcode" to start the process. Before assigning a new passcode, we will ask you to confirm the change by entering the existing one. If you have forgotten your passcode, use the "Forgot your access code?" when logging in and follow the instructions.

Why can’t I log into my Rebell Pay profile?

If you are unable to log into your personal Rebell Pay profile, please make sure you are using the correct passcode. If in doubt, you can reset it by clicking on "Forgot your passcode?" and following the instructions. Remember that in order to reset your passcode, you will need to confirm the verification code, which we will send to the phone number associated with the profile.

How do I set up biometric authentication?

If your device supports biometric authentication, you can enable biometric app unlock by selecting Security tab within Settings — Fingerprint or Face Unlock for Android, Face ID for Apple.

My Rebell Pay profile has been blocked, what's next?

At Rebell Pay, our priority is to facilitate online payments and financial management, while protecting users and their money. This is why we conduct regular checks on user's activity to ensure that Rebell Pay is a safe place for our entire community. In some cases, this leads to account suspension, which we reserve the right to do under our Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with our decision, please contact our Customer Service Department for clarification. If you had an open account with unused funds remaining, these will be safely held until the matter is resolved.

Security

Why can I trust Rebell Pay?

The highest level of security for payment transactions made with the Rebell Pay app is confirmed by a certificate of compliance with the PCI DSS standard. Its award requires compliance with strict standards set by global giants such as Mastercard and Visa. Rebell Pay guarantees that confidential information about Rebell Pay accounts and payment cards (both physical and virtual) is protected to the maximum at every stage of the service. This applies to both the sender and the recipient of funds. An additional security measure is the need to confirm selective transactions in the 3D-Secure system.

How does Rebell Pay protect my personal data?

User data that they entrust to us when using Rebell Pay are protected in accordance with the highest security standards, complying with the GDPR and EU regulations. In addition, we meet the security requirements of the world's largest payment organizations - Visa (Verified by Visa) and Mastercard (MasterCard SecureCode). Our transactions are also processed in accordance with the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). All Rebell Pay websites are secured with the SSL protocol (the lock symbol next to the website address), which encrypts the entered information and guarantees its safe and confidential flow.

Why do I need identity verification?

The need to verify the identity of Rebell Pay users results from the law and the need to limit access to people who would like to impersonate someone else. This policy is commonly known as 'Know Your Customer’ (KYC) and is a process placed in order to increases the security of the Rebell Pay community and keep everyone’s money safe, which we treat very seriously. Thanks to that, its members can open accounts and virtual Mastercard account cards in supported currency, and enjoy high transaction limits, making transfers up to €5000 within 30 days. Safe and hassle-free.

All of your personal details and pictures collected during the verification process are safely stored in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

What should I do if my phone is lost or stolen?

In the event of a lost phone or suspected theft, contact immediately Rebell Pay Customer Service in order to block your profile. You will be able to unlock access by contacting us again at any time.

Transferring money

Do I need to register to make a transfer?

Yes. Before making a transfer, it is required to go through the registration process.

What transaction limits does Rebell Pay have?

As a Rebell Pay user, you will be able to transfer up to the equivalent of 5 000 USD per day and the equivalent of 5 000 EUR for the last 30 days. Within this total transaction limit, you will be able to benefit from a maximum of 3 free transactions up to a maximum total amount not exceeding the equivalent of EUR 250 for the last 30 days.

How can I check if my transfer has been approved?

After making the transaction, you will be able to verify its status within the application in the "Transaction history" on your Dashboard. You will be also notified through email communication about its status.

Why is my transaction unsuccessful?

The most common reasons for declining a transaction include: exceeding the monthly transfer limit and blocking the transaction by the issuer of the recipient's payment card. The reason for blocking the transaction may also be an attempt to send funds to a card which is not supported by the system. This category includes cards issued by payment organizations other than Mastercard and Visa, as well as prepaid and business cards. In this situation, it is best to make a transfer to the recipient's phone. He will then receive an SMS message about the transaction along with a link containing a form for securely entering the card number. You can learn more about the reasons for the transaction failure in the notification sent by Rebell Pay. If in doubt, please contact our Customer Service.

What happens if transferred money do not reach the recipient?

All transfers ordered via the Rebell Pay app are processed immediately. If the funds do not reach the recipient within the expected time, please contact our Customer Service, who will provide you with information about the transaction.

How to send money to a phone number?

In order to transfer funds to the selected phone number, simply indicate the recipient's number in the application, to which we will send a secure link to the transaction. At this link, the recipient will enter their card number (without the CVV code) and approve the receipt of funds. It is worth emphasizing here that your recipient does not need to be a Rebell Pay user to accept the payment.

How can I transfer money to a friend in my contacts?

In order to transfer funds to one of your friends from your phone contact list, you need to first synchronize it by allowing access to your contacts. You can do it from Permissions Manager tab within Settings or after taping choose receiver on Send screen when initiating a transfer. Once synchronized, all your contacts will appear, listed in two categories: friends in Rebell Pay (for those with Rebell Pay profile) and other contacts (not registered in Rebell Pay). You can choose any of them by scrolling down or using our search bar. It is worth noting that sending money to a friend registered in Rebell Pay results in instant delivery, while sending a transfer to other contacts may take up to 12h, depending on how fast the recipient would accept the payment - to know more about the process of sending money to a phone number check here.

How can I repeat a transfer?

With Rebell Pay you can easily repeat one of your transfers, assuming it was made to one of your cards, a friend who already has an account in Rebell Pay or to a phone number, regardless whether it has been entered manually or selected from your contact list. You can do that by following the below instructions:

1. Open Rebell Pay app and go to Home tab
2. Find and select the relevant transaction you wish to repeat
3. Tap on 3 dots to expand the menu
4. Select Repeat button

At this stage, repeating a transaction where recipient card has been entered manually, is not possible. We are working on it, to make this feature available soon.

Can I get a transaction receipt for the payment I've made?

Yes, you can get a transaction receipt for any payment you've made in Rebell Pay by following the below instructions:

1. Open Rebell Pay app and go to Home tab
2. Find and select the relevant transaction
3. Tap on 3 dots to expand the menu
4. Select "Send PDF receipt to email"

You will your transaction receipt as a pdf document on your registered email address.

Can I cancel my transaction?

Not. Once accepted, the transaction is processed immediately and cannot be undone. Transfer wisely.

Account

How can I open an account?

It is easy to open an account in Rebell Pay. Just follow below steps:

1. Go to Home in Rebell Pay app
2. Tap Add account in chosen currency
3. Confirm and your account will be ready in no time

Before you start using your account, be sure to fund it. Once this is done you will be able to:

- hold funds safely to manage your finances in one convenient app
- open a virtual Mastercard card for safe online payments
- make instant and free transfers to other Rebell Pay users

If you want access to your account information, such as your IBAN number, you will need to undergo additional verification:

- Confirm your source of income
- Confirm your residential address

You will do all this conveniently through the Rebell Pay app.

Remember that in order to open an account you need to be verified with one of the below ID documents, depending on your citizenship:

- For EU citizens: Passport, ID or Residence Permit
- For citizens outside of EU: International Passport

If you used other documents accepted upon registration, allowing you to use Rebell Pay to make payments with your physical cards, it might mean you will need to go through verification process again.

What kind of documents are required to open an account?

When opening a bank account, a customer usually presents his or her ID document at a bank branch. It's similar in Rebell Pay. In order to obtain a fully operational profile in Rebell Pay and open an account, you'll need to pass the verification process with an ID document that meets the regulatory requirements. Depending on your citizenship that would be:

- For EU citizens: Passport, ID or Residence Permit
- For citizens outside of EU: Passport

In order to receive an IBAN number, for security reasons and in accordance with current legislation, you will have to undergo additional verification:

- confirm your source of income
- confirm your address of residence

How many accounts can I open in Rebell Pay?

In Rebell Pay you can have one account for each chosen currency. Currently we are supporting accounts in PLN with accounts in EUR to follow. We are working hard to expand our offer and services to suit your needs, so stay tuned.

Are there any fees that apply to my account?

No. To keep your account in Rebell Pay and hold money is free of charge!

Are there any limits for holding and receiving money with Rebell Pay account?

There are currently no limits on receiving or holding money in your Rebell Pay account.

However, we reserve the right, in accordance with our Terms of Use and in connection with our security policy, to ask you for additional information or documents (e.g. the source of funds), if the situation requires it. If this happens, we will send you an email regarding the matter and advise you on the next steps to take.

Where can I see the balance of my account?

Your account balance is visibly shown on Home tab in your Rebell Pay app, as well as within your account details after tapping on a selected account.

Where can I find my account details?

Once you have opened a Rebell Pay account, your account details are not visible.

If you wish to access your account details, including the IBAN number, for security reasons and in accordance with current regulations, you will need to undergo additional verification:

- confirm your source of income
- confirm your address of residence

Your account details will then be available to view in the app after tapping on a selected account on Home tab.

What account details should I use to transfer money to my Rebell Pay account?

Rebell Pay account details are only available to additionally verified users who:

- confirmed their source of income
- confirmed their address of residence

You will be able to see these within My account details after tapping on a selected account on Home tab. You will find there account holder name, IBAN and SWIFT code, if needed. The bank details common to all Rebell Pay account holders are:

Be sure to select the correct currency when making a transfer and double check account details entered, as using incorrect information may result in longer waiting times, unexpected fees, or failed transfers.

How can I view my account's history?

You can view all activity on your account any time within My account details after tapping on a selected account on Home tab and then tapping the History button.

Can I get a card to my account?

You can open a virtual Mastercard for your Rebell Pay balance in your account details. This incurs a one-off fee, so make sure your balance is funded.

To fully use its potential and make your life easier, don't forget to add the card to Google or Apple Pay, and you will be able to make convenient contactless payments in stores using your phone.

Why can't I open an account if my identity was verified successfully?

In order to obtain a fully operational profile in Rebell Pay and open an account, you need to pass the verification process with an ID document that meets the regulatory requirements, specific to your citizenship. Upon registration and in order to open a basic profile in Rebell Pay, we accept broader spectrum of ID documents. It allows you to use Rebell Pay to make payments with your physical cards added to your Rebell Pay profile. Where your ID document used upon registration does not align with requirements to open an account, we will require you to go through a verification process again. Depending on your citizenship you should then reverify with one of the below documents:

- For EU citizens: Passport, ID or Residence Permit
- For citizens outside of EU: International Passport

How long does it take to receive money into my account?

The time it takes to receive money into your account depends on the transfer method. It usually takes 1–2 working days to receive money from domestic transfer, but it can take longer if the transfer is made on a weekend or holiday. International SWIFT payments can take 3-5 working days to process, but it can take longer depending on the countries involved. The quickest way to receive money into your account is through a card to card payment made to your virtual account card, if opened. This type of payment is processed immediately and the funds transferred should be credited within up to 30 min.

Cards

What is the difference between a physical and a virtual card in Rebell Pay?

At Rebell Pay, we mean a physical card as a payment card issued by a third party provider, usually a bank, to their customers. It means, that it is a card you own outside the Rebell Pay app. On the other hand, a virtual card is a Mastercard payment card in a digital form, available for Rebell Pay account-holders. Once opened, this card will instantly appear in your app and can be used for online payments immediately without any further activation, taking that you have funds on your account. You won't receive a physical copy of this card.

How many cards can I add?

You can add up to 5 physical Mastercard or Visa payment cards, regardless of the country of issue and the currency in which you will make the transfer.

Why can't I add my physical card?

The most common cause of failure to add payment cards is when you try to add a card other than Mastercard or Visa, or a prepaid or business card. However, if your card meets the Rebell Pay requirements, the reason for the rejection may be that the issuer does not recognize the funds on the card. Such a card will only be used to send transfers - the acceptance of funds will be blocked. If in doubt, please contact our Customer Service.

Can I transfer funds between my cards?

Yes. You can make transfers between your own cards.

How can I delete my physical card?

Go to "Home" tab at the bottom of the screen. Swipe to find your physical card you want to remove and tap on it to see its details. Select "Delete" and confirm.

How can I open a virtual card in Rebell Pay?

At Rebell Pay, we give you an option to open a Mastercard virtual card to each account opened, so you can send and receive money easily. You need to follow the below steps:

1. Go to My account details by tapping on a selected account on Home tab
2. Tap on "Open account card" button
3. Confirm the one-off payment for issuing the card

To fully use its potential and make your life easier, don't forget to add the card to Google or Apple Pay, and you will be able to make convenient contactless payments in stores using your phone.

How many virtual cards can I open?

You can only open one virtual card to each of your accounts.

What are the virtual card fees?

There is a one-off fee for issuing the virtual card. There are no additional costs for maintaining the card.

How can I see my virtual card details?

You can check your virtual card details within the Rebell Pay app by following below steps:

- Go to Home tab
- Find your virtual card in the section My cards and tap it
- Tap on show details
- You will need to enter your Rebell Pay passcode, or use fingerprint or facial recognition, to view your card details.

Where can I pay with my virtual card?

With the help of your virtual Mastercard you can make quick and easy online payments, providing necessary card details, available to view within the app. If connected to Apple or Google Pay, you can also use it to make contactless payments in shops, restaurants, or public transport.

How can I add my virtual card to Google/Apple Pay?

In order to add your Mastercard virtual card to Google Pay, follow below steps:

- Open the Google Wallet app
- At the bottom, tap Add to Wallet and select Payment card and then New credit or debit card
- Enter the details manually and follow the steps to verify your card.

To add it to Apple Pay via Apple Wallet on your iPhone, you need to follow below steps:

- Open your Apple Wallet
- Enter the details manually
- Verify the card with an SMS code

Are there any payment limits on my virtual card?

Currently there are no limits on how much you can spend with your Rebell Pay Mastercard virtual card. However, as a Rebell Pay user, you are subject to transfer limits within the app. Your daily transfer limit using any card, is up to the equivalent of 5 000 USD, while the monthly limit amounts to the equivalent of 5 000 EUR for the last 30 days. You can check your current limit usage in My limit tab within Settings in your Rebell Pay app.

Regarding incoming funds, there are no limits, although we reserve the right, in accordance with our Terms of Use and in connection with our security policy, to ask you for additional information or documents (e.g. the source of funds), if the situation requires it. If this happens, we will send you an email regarding the matter and advise you on the next steps to take.

Can I get a refund to my virtual card?

You can receive a refund directly to your Rebell Pay virtual Mastercard. To find the last four digits of the card used for payment, tap the transaction for which you want to receive a refund. Once your service provider has processed your refund, the money will be credited to your Rebell Pay account associated with the virtual card.

What if I paid with my virtual card in another currency?

Your virtual card works in the same currency as the account it is linked to. However, it's still possible to make card payments in another currency. The money will simply be converted at the current available rate and taken from your account.

Can I withdraw cash from an ATM with my virtual Rebell Pay card?

No, it's not possible to use Rebell Pay virtual account card to withdraw cash from an ATM.

Why a transaction isn't showing in my card's transaction history?

There are a few reasons why a transaction might not be showing in your card's transaction history.

- If it was an online payment, there might have been a technical issue with the merchant.
- The transaction is still pending. When you make a purchase with your debit card, the merchant doesn't immediately take the money from your account. Instead, they place a hold on the funds, which means that the money is temporarily unavailable to you and it may happen that it will not be reflected in the transaction history. The hold will usually be released within a few days, and the transaction will then show up in your transaction history.
- The transaction was declined. If your card was declined, the transaction might not show up in your transaction history. There are a few reasons why your card might be declined, such as insufficient funds, a problem with your card, or a fraud alert.

I didn't get the goods/services I paid for with my virtual card, what can I do?

If you have trouble with the order you paid for with your Rebell Pay virtual Mastercard, the first step is to get in touch with the merchant. Check if you can solve the problem together.

If you can’t, then you can report an issue by sending an email to support@rebellpay.com. Please make sure you include the following information:

- a detailed description of what happened and what you purchased
- any proof you have, such as receipts, invoices or order confirmation
- if possible, copy of your communication with the merchant

We will contact you back and submit a chargeback on your behalf, if applicable.

I need to report a fraudulent payment made with my virtual card

If you do not recognize a payment in your transaction history and you suspect that your account and account card are at risk:

1. Block your card: Go to Home tab in Rebell Pay app. Find the virtual card you wish to block in the section My cards and tap it. Beside Block card, tap the toggle switch to temporarily block your card
2. Report fraud to Rebell Pay at support@rebellpay.com: Include as much information as you can about what happened. We will investigate and contact you back with the next steps
3. Report the incident to the Police

OTP for my virtual card wasn't delivered, what should I do?

If you do not receive an SMS with a code to pay with your virtual card, please make sure to double-check the following:

- There are no issues with your mobile network.
- You do not have certain types of SMS blocking enabled.
- If the issue persists, we recommend contacting your mobile network provider to find out why you are not receiving our SMS.

How do I close my Rebell Pay virtual card?

If you do not wish to continue using your virtual account card, you can terminate it at any time, following below steps:

- Go to Home tab in your Rebell Pay app
- Find your virtual card you wish to terminate in the section My cards and tap it
- Tap on 3 dots to expand the menu
- Select "Close card" and confirm your choice

Terminating a virtual account card won't affect the account it was linked to. Please note that any payments with this card after it has been closed will be declined. If you are expecting a refund to this card, it will be processed and applied to the account associated with the cancelled virtual card.
